SUBLIMATION PRINTING:
Sublimation printing is a technique that uses heat sensitive inks. These inks turn into gas under the influence of heat when combined with a 100% polyester medium. Since the ink becomes part of the structure of the material, the images on the fabric don’t fade or crack - even after multiple washings. To create high-quality sublimation prints, you need a transfer paper that has high ink absorption and dries quickly. The paper needs to stay flat and may not wave after printing. It is also important that the paper releases the ink when heating. The Ricoh Sublimation Paper is the perfect paper for sublimation prints.
Sublimation printing can be done on various poly-coated items which includes the following:
Mugs (normal-, colour changing-, tea-, glass-, thermos-), tiles, plates, coasters, puzzles, name badges, dog tags, aprons, metal, wooden placemats and coasters, jewelry and jewelry boxes, glass cutting boards, mousepads, unisub products, clocks and 100 % polyester material used for Golf shirts, T-shirts, Corporate wear, table cloths and -runners, cushions, baby grows and –bibs, keyrings, bags, medals and lanyards, trophy’s and shields, phone and tablet covers.
LASER TRANSFERS:
Paper that can be printed through a desktop inkjet printer or laser printer/copier, then heat applied to your garment. Ideal For – Lower quantities and personalization, photo realistic prints where durability is not in high demand (ie. tourist destinations, mall kiosks, fairs, flea markets, family reunions, 1 time wear – promotional). Quick, inexpensive photo quality prints can be created and transferred over to your garment.
VINYL GARMENT PRINTING: Heat Transfer Vinyl
Vinyl material that can be reverse cut on a vinyl cutter, then weeded and heat applied to a garment. Excellent durability, when properly applied the heat transfer vinyl will outlast the life of the garment without cracking, peeling, or fading. Some materials offer a very soft finish that is matte or dull, while other materials are thick and glossy on the garment. Specialized materials such as flock have their own characteristics as well. Used a lot for names and numbers on sports uniforms, some materials offer a real nice feel for use on fashionable apparel. The general process involves cutting, weeding and then heating. The most detailed portion of this process is weeding. Can be heat applied virtually anywhere on the garment. No photo quality or color gradients can be achieved. Doing more than 3 layered colors can become labor intensive.
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR STICKER DECAL’S (VINYL):
Vinyl cut lettering and graphics (Decals). Designs and lettering are cut with a vinyl cutter (normal or reversed cut) and then weeded. These are for long term indoor/outdoor use and are supplied with a pre-masking sheet, so upon application are transferred from one sheet/medium to another.
The vinyl cutter is connected to a computer which allows it to read our vector design files. The cutter uses a single, tiny blade to cut into the vinyl .The big roll of vinyl is moved back and forth as the blade cuts into the material. Most importantly, the blade only cuts deep enough to slice through the vinyl material, not the backing paper it is stuck to. Once the vinyl has been cut it’s removed from the machine and laid on a table for weeding. Weeding is the process when the excess vinyl (the negative space in your decal) is removed by hand. This can be quite a time consuming process depending on the complexity of the design.
Decal’s include: Wall art, window advertising, bumper stickers, car window displays, advertising boards, stickers for sandblasting.
SANDBLASTING:
Sandblasting is the process by which the surface of an object is eroded by means of a concentrated stream of very fine sand. Sandblaster guns refine a surface while also giving a decorative finish to craft metals. It can be used to remove old paint, smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface or give shape to an object. Sandblasting can be done on windows, glass, mirrors.
BUSINESS STATIONARY:
As much as we may have moved to technology and all things digital, there is still a need for professional stationery in the business environment.
Business stationery serves as an ambassador to an organisation, conveying its image and brand – and ultimately its level of professionalism.
LARGE FORMAT PRINTING:
A type of advertising that has consistently grown in popularity over the years, large format printing refers to prints of a larger size. This type of printing is typically used for everything from banners to posters, wallpapers, murals and other larger sized advertisements.
Large format printing is a good choice if you have materials with a lot of graphic elements, or a poster, banner or large scale advert that is an unusual size or shape. As there is a huge area to work with, this type of printing is an excellent way to advertise events, promotions, products or any other news that you want to be visible. The wide images and larger than life sized text ensures that brand messaging is highly effective, creating maximum impact and reach for display advertisements.
